China’s National Health Commission has announced, anyone travelling into the country from January 8 will not have to undergo quarantine, a measure in place since 2022. It’s a significant move in opening up the economy as the government continues to loosen its zero-Covid policy.
Covid-19 will now be managed as a Class B epidemic.
The news comes as reports of road and air traffic rising significantly in major cities.
