A new law to ban the sale of new fossil fuel cars in the European Union from 2035 has been approved by the EU parliament.
New vans must comply with a 100% carbon dioxide cut by 2035, and a 50% cut by 2030, compared with 2021 levels.
The deal was agreed last October and is expected to become law in March.
