An increasing number of countries around the world are turning to nuclear energy for energy security:
- Sweden has announced a plan to lift a law limiting the number of nuclear reactors in the country to only 10, in a push to build out it’s nuclear fleet to boost energy security
- Belgium has announced it has signed an agreement with French energy company Engie to extend two of the seven nuclear reactors operated in Belgium for ten years, starting in November 2026
- South Korea has announced plans for nuclear energy to account for over 33% of it’s energy by 2030, up from 24% in earlier proposals
